Kim Porter shares her story of rallying an all female brew team to create a beer whose sales provide help to victims of sexual assault

Andrew Biernat

When Kim Porter found out that people who went through a sexual abuse forensic exam had their clothes taken as evidence, and went home in a hospital gown and hospital underwear, she knew she had to do something about it. Kim led an all female brew team to create IMPACT IPA, a beer which will help fund the purchase of undergarments and clothing for those who go through sexual assault forensic exams.

She shares her thoughts on the brewing industry and where she sees it heading.
